Layering Love Insect Card!

Today’s card is one I made for the monthly card swap group I take part in. Each month we have a different theme and this months theme is Insects!

May Card Swap

I started with a Crumb Cake card base and added a layer of Real Red cardstock on top. I then stamped some Whisper White cardstock with the leaves and sun from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set. I used Garden Green and Daffodil Delight ink for this.

The Ladybirds are from the Lots of Love Hostess stamp set and were stamped in the bottom right corner of the card in Black Archival ink. I then used the Real Red Stampin Marker to colour them in.

May Card Swap 2

The sentiment is from the Layering Love stamp set. Each sentiment in this set is designed to co-ordinate with the new Layering Framelit Dies.  I chose the ‘I am much more me’ sentiment which I stamped onto a die cut square from the Layering Squares Framelits. This was then attached to the slightly larger wavy edges square from the same set using Tombo Multi-purpose glue. Finally I added three rhinestones and placed my sentiment over the centre of the sun using dimensionals.

I hope you like it!

Bye for now,

Sarah.xx
