I am thrilled to be sharing the first of five projects I have created as part of the June Pootlers Design Team Challenge! Each Thursday throughout June I, and four others, will be sharing projects we have created using the Balloon Builders stamp set.
The Balloon Builders stamp set is a fun little set which first featured in the Spring/Summer 2016 catalogue and now has earned a place in the new Annual Catalogue. Over the next few weeks I will be sharing some of the different ideas I came up with on ways to use these cute stamps.
For today’s card I’ve taken a piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the ‘jelly bean’ shaped image several times in Peak-a-Boo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum and Melon Mambo ink. I cut away a horizontal panel about two thirds of the way down the card and replaced it with a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock of the same size.
The sentiment and sprinkles on the Melon Mambo card are from the ‘Party With Cake’ stamp set. I used Black Memento ink for the sentiment and the sprinkles were stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Gold Stampin Emboss Powder.
The Whisper White and Melon Mambo panels were then layered onto a piece of Basic Black card using Dimensionals. I added a piece of the new Melon Mambo Thick Bakers Twine for a bit of contrast and five little gold sequins to complement the embossed gold sprinkles. I attached the card front to a melon Mambo card base using Dimensionals as it gives a little bit of space that the Baker Twine needs to sit nicely at the back of the card.
If you want to step up the inside of your card try using the ‘Party Pop-Up’ Thinlits and some Washi tape!
All of the products I have used are available in the new Annual catalogue which runs from 1st June 2016 to 31st May 2017. If you would like to purchase any of them please click on the ‘Shop Now’ button.
Feel free to contact me if you would like a catalogue or to chat about any of the projects featured on my Blog.
Bye for now,
