It’s week 3 of the June Pootler’s Design Team Challenge. Each Thursday in June, I, and four others, will be sharing projects we have designed using the Balloon Builders Stamp Set.
This week I used the little heart shaped balloons to make a Valentine card.
First I used a piece of Whisper White card stock for the card front and stamped around the edges in Smoky Slate using a stamp from the Timeless Textures Set. I used another stamp from the same set and added a flourish in each corner in Rose Red ink.
The balloons from the Balloon Builders Stamp Set were stamped onto Whisper White card stock in Rose Red ink and then cut out. I used some Gold Metallic Thread to tie each balloon and looped the ends of the thread around a few times. The thread loops were then attached to the card with a glue dot.
The banner and sentiment is from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set. This was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed using Gold Stampin Emboss powder. It was then cut out using the Banner die from the Large Numbers Framelits. Using Dimensionals I placed the banner over the gold thread loops making sure I covered the glue dot that was used to stick the thread down.
The card front was layered onto a piece of Rose Red card stock which was then attached to a Basic Black card base using Dimensionals.
More ideas next week for week 4 of the challenge!
